The number of Americans pursuing Irish citizenship through ancestry jumped to 63% last year amid the Trump administration’s controversial policies.
Carol Sinnott of the law firm Sinnott Solicitors told the outlet that many of her American clients were seeking a “plan B” in a “safer and less hostile society,” adding that life under the Trump regime had made obtaining an Irish passport a “matter of priority.”
