The Immigration Service Delivery announced last week that the next Irish Citizenship Ceremonies will be held on Monday the 23بحث وتطوير and Tuesday 24العاشر of June at the INEC, Killarney, Co. Kerry.

This is eagerly awaited news for persons anxiously waiting to be granted their Irish citizenship.

Invitations to the ceremony have started to issue via email to the email address listed on a person’s citizenship application file,  so persons waiting to be invited should monitor their emails, including junk emails, to ensure that they do not miss the very important invitation.

When the email is received, Applicants should RSVP Yes or No by choosing the relevant button. Applicants who cannot attend will be invited to a later ceremony.

Irish citizenship is granted to Applicants on the day of the ceremony after taking the oath of fidelity to the nation however the actual Certificates of Naturalisation will be sent by Registered Post a number of weeks after the ceremonies. In practice we have seen it take up to 12 weeks in some instances for the Certificates to issue.

The certificate of naturalisation is required to apply for the Irish passport.

Sinnott Solicitors Dublin and Cork will be well represented at the ceremonies in June, and we congratulate all our clients who will be granted their Irish citizenship next month, many of whom have had a long road to get there.
