Due to delays in issuing renewed Irish Residence Permits (IRP) cards by post, the Immigration Service Delivery have issued a Travel Confirmation Notice for the Christmas period.

The notice allows non-EEA nationals to travel between the 2nd of December 2024 and 31 of January 2025 using expired IRP cards, provided that an application to renew their permission to remain was submitted prior to the expiry date of their IRP card.

Persons travelling on expired IRP cards should download and print the Travel Confirmation Notice available 这里 and present it to immigration authorities and airlines/carriers along with their expired IRP card and the email confirmation received from the ISD acknowledging receipt of their renewal application.

The Notice is valid from the 2nd of December 2024 to the 31 of January 2025 only. Persons attempting to travel after 31 of January 2025 with an expired IRP card will not be able to rely on this notice.
