The Department of Justice have announced that the next Irish Citizenship Ceremony will be held on the 2nd of October 2023 in the Convention Centre Dublin.

This is eagerly awaited news for persons anxiously waiting to be granted their Irish citizenship. It is interesting to see a change in venue to Dublin from the traditional Killarney venue where the majority of ceremonies have taken place in recent times.

Invitations to the ceremony will be issued via email to the email address listed on a person’s citizenship application file,  so persons waiting to be invited should monitor their email, including junk, email to ensure that they do not miss the very important invitation.

Applicants who have received the approval letter from the Department of Justice notifying them of the intention of the Minister for Justice to grant them Irish citizenship should submit the requested documentation and pay the fee without delay to be included in the ceremony.

As always Sinnott Solicitors Dublin and Cork will be well represented at the ceremony, and we congratulate all our clients who will be granted their Irish citizenship next month.
