As a result of Ireland entering Level 5 of the National Framework for Living with Covid-19 plan, the Garda National Immigration Bureau in Dublin has again temporarily closed to the public as at 7pm on the 21st of October. This means that any first registration appointments scheduled between the 22nd of October to the 3rd of December 2020 have now been cancelled. This is again very disappointing news for any non-EEA nationals who have been anxiously waiting to attend for registration in order to be issued with a valid IRP card, a very necessary document for many functions.

Applications for renewals of IRP cards/immigration permission in Dublin will continue to be processed online details of which can be found here.

It appears that Registration offices in Garda Stations outside of Dublin will remain open in circumstances where applicants are directed to contact their local office, however this is not fully clear from the ISD notice.

A full copy of the notice is available here.
